Elections and What Color is Purple?
Hello and thanks for reading, today we will be finding out what color is purple. This is the most important question I know, posed once by my friend... ... ... Oh yeah, we will also be talking about the elections.
So the election are over! Surprised I know right?!
To start off let us talk about the Presidential election, Hunt won 50% of the vote, Brick and Regionia both won 19.2%, and then M-C won 11.5%. Overall The Messenger got pretty close - 3% off for Hunt, 3.8% off for Brick, 2.2% off for Reg., and 4.5% off for M-C. That makes it an average of 3.375% off. That I think is pretty acceptable. Good job to The Messenger! In the first Run-off Brick was gaining a lead on Regionia however Regionia decided to back off and conceded, making the first run-off not needed. Thus Brick and Hunt battled it out in a new run-off where Hunt quickly was able to gain a big lead over Brick, however the battle drudged out and lasted for 3 days -- the final score being 76.5% to 23.5%.
In the end Hunt stood alone with her squire Libertarian Washington and looked out over the battle field and saw that it was stained with the blood of her enemies. Or was that just the punch TNR spilled? Either way there was wet stuff, or had it dried by then? Well what ever it was Hunt looked over it and saw that all was good, or at least good enough for her, or was it. Actually were not quite sure, we just know that Hunt looked over something, and perhaps thought something... maybe.
Next in the Delegate corner we had Britarvia who was able to gain a lead with 43.5% of the vote, followed by Free States who had 30.4% and then Kastros who had 21.7% and then M-C who was last but still managed to get 4.3% of the vote. With such no clear winner was named and a run-off was needed to settle this bloody business (at least we think it was bloody). With that Britarvia and Free States headed to the run-off where things turned magical. Britarvia was able to call upon his Cactus spirit and was able to win with an amazing 70.6% while Free States was able to call upon something we hope and was able to get 29.4% of the vote, actually losing some of his earlier votes.
That was when Britarvia manifested into a dancing cactus and went around hugging people! 29 law suits were filled but none got to the court, it is suspected that the Cacti Mafia intercepted the paper work and burned it, then threatened that no one come out and tell what happened... ---- please excuse me for a moment, I just heard a knock on my door. I wonder who it could be?
Finally in the Senate corner. Many people ran, it was bloody as they all wanted to cover themselves in this red stuff - presumed blood or cool-aid... or paint - we think that this red stuff makes people have magical abilities but this is still unknown. There were casualties with DaFreakyAmish, M-C, Britarvia, and Northern Timpetotia were all beaten. In a run-off between Randomly Named States and Regionia, Random was beaten. The victors were Free States, Kastros, and Regionia.
Slow, Slow, Slow --- a Court Case?
Recently DaFreaky Sports Confederation hired the Galley-Law Company to sue the Department of the Treasury for taking so much time in the application process that it caused unneeded stress and also cased them to lose money that they could have made over the May Sumo Tournament. They have sued for $6000 because of this.
This raises a great question and that time it has taken for the government to approve of applications, now this is not the Hunt Administration as she recently just came into office, but really the previous administration however it is being targeted at the government as a whole, as it is still the same government just new leadership.
Of late many applications are taking a lot of time to approve, from business applications to citizen applications and then it is also taking a lot of time to put them into play once they are approved. This would case many problems, chief among them would be people giving up, stress, and financial burdens that are caused.
This court case (Galley-Law v. Department of the Treasury) is trying to hit the nail on the head and help to make better what has happened. However it is unknown what the outcome will be. Also this seems to be the first court case in a long time. Putting the court to do more than confirm election and solve Presidential succession.
Sumo, Sumo, Sumo
Terunofuji
The May Sumo Tournament is over! It finished on Sunday May 24th, and boy was it something. Overall it was a crazy tournament that was a delight to watch. Yokuzuna (highest rank) Hakuho who has been breaking records and has said to be in a field all to himself lost and did not win the tournament, instead he lost on the two finial days and left with an 11-4 record the first time he has had more than 2 losses since March 2014 and the first time he has had more than 4 since May 2012. Though this tournament was not a run away like some others it was a huge field with the possibility to have a huge play-off for the tournament championship.
In the end Terunofuji was the winner with a record of 12-3 also gaining the fighting spirit prize, marking having won the prize three tournaments in a row. Terunofuji who is currently ranked as a Sekiwake (third highest rank) will most likely gain a promotion to Ozeki (second highest rank) after his win. Terunofuji was also the runner-up to last tournament coming shy of winning against Hakuho then. However in this tournament Terunofuji did not beat a Yokuzuna (highest rank) he lost against Hakuho and didn't have to fight against Harumafuji because they are in the same stable house and also didn't have to fight against Kakuru who pulled out this tournament because of the same injury that he got last tournament that also caused him to pull out. That is two hard guys that he didn't have to go up against, allowing him an easier time this tournament. However next tournament as of right now he will have to go up against Kakuru, but he is still able to avoid going up against all three Yokuzuna in a tournament.
Sadanoumi was able to pull through in the end and get his winning record at 8-7. However he was able to pull through and win against Terunofuji and also Yokuzuna Harumafuji. Since Sadanoumi is only ranked at Maegashira #3 his win against Harumafuji got him his first Kinboshi (gold star) which is a raise that lasts forever as well. Sadanoumi had a great start to his tournament winning his first 4 matches, that would have made it easy for him to get just 4 more in 11 days. However things turned against him as he lost his next 5 after that. That was followed by 2 wins, 2 loses, and then 2 wins. Also this tournament he had a lot he had a lot of close calls and perhaps some unfortunate losses. Also unfortunately was that Sadanoumi didn't get the Outstanding Performance prize despite beating the tournament winner, but this may be because of he was only able to just barely get his winning record and wasn't able to get in double digit wins. Still Sadanoumi got his winning record which will put him up at a higher rank next tournament, however how much higher is still unknown - perhaps Maegashira #1 or even Komusubi (4th highest rank) both of these would be the highest rank that Sadanoumi has ever achieved. We won't know until June 29th.
Harumafuji one of the other Yokuzuna didn't have the best tournament that a Yokuzuna can have but did do well, he did beat Hakuho, and got an 11-4 record but gave away 3 kinboshi (gold stars). He did have a shot for the big play off but since Terunofuji didn't lose on the final two days it didn't happen. However Harumafuji winning against Hakuho secured the tournament win for his stable mate Terunofuji. Ozeki (second highest rank) Kisenosato also had a great tournament also achieving an 11-4 record and he also beat Hakuho. Ozeki Goeido had a good tournament at 8-6-1 but pulled out on the final day because of an injury - it is unclear if he will pull out in July. However Ozeki Kotoshogiku didn't have a great tournament getting only a 6-9 record. This means that next tournament he must get at least 8 wins or he will be demoted. However if after getting demoted he can get at least 10 wins that tournament he will become an Ozeki again.
Endo, ranked Maegashira #9, came away with a 6-9 record. That is after he sustained a serious leg injury last tournament, where he had to pull out in the middle of the tournament. It was recommended, I believe, that he under go surgery and then heal up but it would take 18 months I think was the estimate - that would cause him to move down a couple divisions and then when he came back he would have to fight his way back up, which is what a fellow wrestler did himself. However Endo stuck it out this tournament and despite losing the first 6 matches - he won the 7th and then lost 2 more followed by 3 wins and 1 more lose then 2 more wins. He did well with his injury in the end and will go down in rank but he will be staying in the division. He now has some time to rest up his leg, and hopefully it might be better so that he can have a great tournament in July.
The Economy!
The Economy is starting to pick back up! Liberty Radio has started, Liberty News has started - which involved the help and contribution of many different people, along with MMS Networks getting going again after that short hiatus. Then we have a brand new company here as well - DaFreaky Sports Confederation.
DaFreaky Sports Confederation is right now has two main features - betting on Real life Major League Baseball and the All Allied Sumo League which is kind of like fantasy sumo. Betting on MLB is simple enough, there are odds you put money down, you win or you lose based on how the teams do. While Sumo is a bit more difficult - I guessed you say. In the Sumo you make a stable house, then you make wrestlers, after enough there are enough wrestlers a tournament will start where businesses and people can either sponsor the whole tournament or individual matches. When wrestlers win matches they have the chance of winning money if there were any sponsors on that match and what ever wrestler wins the whole tournament gets a big prize and the runner up also gets a good prize. There are big rumors that North Republic Industries will be sponsoring and putting lots of money into the tournament - translating to lots of prizes and big prizes for winning wrestlers.
North Republic Industry has also hinted at more ventures. From trying to get old companies back in the game and also trying to create a new survey and consulting company as well. Not to mention that North Republic Industries has also suggested that a Commerce Guild be created to better help businesses. This is all while other businesses are working to improve the economy as well. However North Republic Industries CEO Lewis and Daniel is starting to fill up his plate and he doesn't know how much more he wants on it.

Rec
Rec --- A short little anime coming in at only 9 episodes and one special. Aired in 2006 (hard to believe that's almost 10 years ago!)
Rec is about Fumihiko Matsumaru who is just an average business man, and Aka Onda a up and coming voice actor. The story is about their relationship and their jobs as they come together and must find themselves in a way, their new life, and how to cope with a new person.
The story is good, it is interesting and very slice of life, dealing with romance, drama, and comedy and is very down to earth. It was entertaining and overall a decent story. However it is still short. There is always room for improvement and perhaps given more time they could have done more. However then you can always come back and say that the story might change. etc.
The characters are good, however we only really focus on the two main characters and then glace at the others once in a while. However the main characters are developed well, they seem so human and their own persons. They have their strengths and weaknesses. They seem to go through the same issues that any one else would. They are some solid characters and are very well done.
the Art is decent, it looks older in a way. However I think that it fits the anime too. What more is there to say?
The Music wasn't great but it wasn't terrible either. Frankly I don't remember much of it, kind of. The Voice acting was good.
Overall for a short little series like this, I think it does well. It was enjoyable and entertaining. I liked it, and perhaps you would too.

Election Moves Forward!!!
The elections are under way in the Region, things are moving, people are talking, and Hunt's Army is banging on my door... excuse me for just a moment... Now then, let us discuss the elections!!!!
To start things off we will begin discussion of the Presidential candidates where most of the attention is being directed and held this time around, as is expected.
First up is Hunt and LW as they run on a split ticket of the Otaku Party and the Republican Party. Hunt and LW have been able to secure the nomination from the Otaku Party and with it it's prestige and some possible votes. This gives the ticket a big boost over other tickets because of both parties' power and other influences, while also trying to split Republican support. Already despite having much of a platform they have gathered many notable endorsements including Lewis and Daniel and Northern Timpetotia while also receiving Kastros' axe. This ticket seems to be the strongest one out of them all as not only does it have two well liked and known candidates but also many other factors. LW work as host on Liberty Radio may also play a big part in this election, as he is able to help control the media and get his message out there in a unique way.
Next is M-C and Kastros, this ticket is right now under the radar and underdeveloped. However it does have weight to it as Kastros is well liked and well known in the region and has also served as Senator for along while, serving during the Otaku Majority Period when he served as Speaker and Majority Whip. M-C also served during the same period in the Senate. While the ticket can pose serious threat to Hunt-LW ticket, it is unexpected that it will greatly effect it, at least as it stands now.
Now to Brick and Wet Lands, this ticket is somewhere in between right now. They failed to gather the Otaku Party nomination yet say that is because of a lack of effort, which has some weight to it. Then we see that they have a very active and well known campaign, more than any other ticket they have gathered lots of attention. Some say any attention is good attention. However they have also received a lot of flak for their recent term, well Brick's recent term. However they seem to have a developed platform and plan for the next term. At the same time though they have seemed to not have any notable endorsements, though they could be working behind the scenes.
Last but not least we have Regionia from the Republican Party, he also seems to have a platform that is continuing to be developed. He has had some nods of the head and some likes, but hasn't gotten any direct endorsements yet. He has had some conflict with his own party which could deep a possible split this election and cost him many possible Republican votes, and others as well. However he seems to be campaigning hard. He still lacks a Vice President on his ticket, which if he is unable to gather one will cause him to drop out and he will be unable to run. That would cost him the election. He has also decided to run for the Senate, which means that he hopes to gain some sort of seat this election no matter what it is.
As for President Election, The Messenger's Current Prediction is
Hunt-LW 53%, Brick-WL 23%, Regionia-Someone 17%, M-C-Kastros 7%
As for Delegate Britarvia is running on a platform of Cacti and assimilation. Britarvia has the most active campaign for Delegate and seems to be winning by leaps and bounds right now. Britarvia a member of the Republican Party has experience and hopefully a plan to improve our foreign relations.
M-C is also running for delegate but has failed to post much at this time, but it is on the way so I hear. He is from the Otaku Party so he has that running for him, but doesn't have any endorsements of yet. He has also split himself three ways running for the Presidency, Delegacy, and Senate all at the same time. If he is able to provide why he should win and what he would do then he would have a great chance at winning the election.
As for the Delegate Election, The Messenger's Current Prediction is
Britarvia - 78%, M-C - 10%, Bob - 20%

Economy Grows with New and Old Businesses!!!
That's right folks the Economy is growing with new and old businesses or at least it is trying to grow. Old business Liberty Radio has once again started up after a long period of hiatus with their host Libertarian Washington having taken a long break from NS. Liberty Radio used to be the number 1 radio station in TAR and was upon the top media companies in it's time. Now it once again returns to take back its former glory and revitalize the economy. Not only that but North Republic Industries, under CEO Lewis and Daniel, has become part owners in Liberty Radio. North Republic Industries bought and invested $10,000 into the company to make sure that it got started again and started strong. CEO Lewis and Daniel was quoted with saying "We need to make sure that there are plenty of active and strong companies and businesses within TAR. I hope that North Republic Industries continues to invest into the economy and in companies to make that possible. I will be seeking out more opportunists in the future." Liberty Radio which just had it's 28th episode is expected to once again become a hot item, and will soon reach the media milestone of 30 Episodes/Issues. If Liberty Radio can do this it will be the third company to do this after the Allied Republican and The Messenger.
That isn't all! Newcomer DaFreakyAmish, a friend of Lewis and Daniel, has come to the region and has put forward a plan for a new business. Lewis and Daniel has been directly involved with it and has helped to finance and invest in it. DaFreaky Sports Confederation (DFSC) which is what the business will be called, is going to be dealing with several things. They have two main ideas and plans so far. First is a betting ring, where people can bet on real life sports and their outcomes. Next is having people start their own sports teams, like a fantasy league of sorts, and have those teams compete against each other. The business is new and has its own spin on things. DaFreakyAmish has been named CEO and Lewis and Daniel has been named CFO and COO.
However there is slowness plaguing the market place as both Liberty Radio and DaFreaky Sports Confederation's applications were never accepted, in fact Libertarian Washington had to go out of his way and contact the President for anything to be done with his application. This comes after DaFreakyAmish's application for citizenship wasn't approved for days and was over looked as his application for a business now is. One wonders why people can't even do the most basic foundations of their jobs, yet the President and others are having to pick up their slack. This is worrisome, as even if the market tries to grow the inactivity of the government is keeping it down and discouraging it. Perhaps this election will mean change.

Berserk
Berserk --- I had heard about this anime before, many a time by my friend and Northern Timpetotia, and now after I have watched it I see another friend mentioning it too. So since I didn't talk to you guys about it before let's do it now!
The Story is about Guts who is a young mercenary who is quite good at what he does, and that seems to be the only thing that he really knows how to do. When coming back from a job one day he is attacked and has to fend himself, however this is where he meets the Band of the Hawk and most importantly Griffith, their leader. In the end he ends up following Griffith and joins the Hawk. From there they fight and move to complete Griffith's goal, his dream.
The Story is good, it is capturing and has plot and is very interesting as well. It is a strong plot that is done well. Though it does fail in some aspects such as explaining in greater detail their world, the kingdoms involved, and other things especially toward the end which I will discuss later. Despite that it still makes away as a great story.
The Characters are a strong aspect of the show, all of them are well done. Though you might hate some and want to kill them in a very bloody fashion they still, for the most part, are well done. Guts is a strong person but he fails to have any dream for himself, instead choosing like others to follow in Griffith's, but still wants more. Then you have Griffith who has a dream and is able to move people but he also suffers from his own weaknesses. No character is perfect but in that you find people who are human.
The Music is amazing, the opening and ending are just so awesome. The opening is so catchy and I have heard some one say it is the worst best opening, or something like that. I love it as I do the ending, not to mention that a lot of the other music in the anime is great as well. It is just great, the opening had be signing every time and is still my ringtone.
The Voice acting, having watched the English dub is pretty good. I have no complaints with it and rather thought that all the voices matched and did a nice job.
The Animation is old, but in that you can find that special charm. I liked it and after a while it all went right.
Now the ending as I said I would discuss earlier. The ending is confusing, a huge cliffhanger, and is just terrible, in my opinion. They need to explain more things, but in a way with that I think we can get a sense, or lack there of, what the other characters are felling. So there is that but overall I didn't like the ending. Now there are movies coming out/have come out. So far there are three which I haven't watched but I think I read that they pretty much catch up and go along with the series for the most part. However there is a good chance more movies will be made and with it this ending might go away and be cleared up. So I hope for that.
Overall though this is a great anime that I very much enjoyed despite some of its downfalls. It was able to keep me in close and tell me a good story and just do so much. It was very good and I recommend it.

Now and Then, Here and There

The Otaku Party Has a Primary!?!
I've never seen this anime before but it says primary so I'm using it.
For the first time in a very long time a Party is having a primary for who will be their nominee for President. That Party is the Otaku Party, the candidates are Brick Drakan with new running mate Undefined States (Wet Lands), who is seeking to run for re-election, and Speaker Hunteiria Drakan who is throwing her hat into the ring once again with her running mate Libertarian Washington who just recently returned from a long stay period of absence. The Otaku Party, current Chancellor being Lewis and Daniel, is holding a mini-debate to decide who their candidate will be, after which party members can PM the Chancellor with their vote. The Chancellor will then tally them and report the findings.
This is an intense primary as a President, Brick, looking for re-election after winning against then incumbent Obito of the Republican Party, while choosing a good running mate, from the Death to Sanity Party, which could appeal to that party's base and get some of their votes, but seeing that it is the Death to Sanity Party that would just make too much sense. However his Presidency has unfortunately been plagued with resignations which may be viewed as slowing down his progress on what he has done. However he was still able to pull off a decent term for the most part despite that, and has things going for him.
On the other side you have Speaker Hunt who has been a legend as Speaker and has ran many times in the past, having lost all of them. However now she returns trying to have our first female president. She has tons of experience as Speaker and working in the Senate with having had done other work as well. Now this time she returns with Libertarian Washington who has just returned which could hurt him, but he is very well known my the older community here, he also stands on a solid background. Not only that but also being a member of the Republican Party, who along with the Otaku Party make up the two largest and strongest parties in the region, could help the ticket for trying to split the Republican vote. Getting more Republican vote while taking them away from the only other contender who has appeared so far outside of the Otaku Party, Regionia.
Who will win the Primary? Who knows but I am sure it will be a member of the Otaku Party. Who will win the General Election, that waits to be seen as the Otaku Party wants to hold on to the Office of President be it with the current or a new.
The Economy May Be Fixed?!
Over recent months the economy has been in poor shape, pitiful by some standards, as what few businesses there are, are for the most part inactive as people don't seem to care as money has become wide spread and people just don't seem to care. Secretary of the Treasury Free States has been trying to tackle this problem his entire term with his ideas ranging from a super tax to a complete restart of it. He has been given more power to try and fix the problem but so far it remains. Many others are worried about it as well, with another idea being having more life simulation and roleplay being the key fix on it.
Come in Lewis and Daniel, renowned legislator, business owner, and politician, who saw two main fixes to the economy - counting for inflation and adding in an actual tax on people's wealth. He then worked about to write the Economic Reconstruction Act which would allow the Department of the Treasury to account for inflation and deflation, will get rid of the pay-per-post (where citizens get money for every post they make), adds in a flat tax allowing for tax breaks, and reforms some basic treasury policy. Later after suggestion from Regionia, Lewis and Daniel has authored a possible amendment to it to create upkeep costs on the forum. This is the first big piece of legislation that has worked to try and fix the economy and has been meet with lots of praise from the community.
We will have to see where this legislation goes, how it does, and if we can fix the economy through it and perhaps many more pieces of legislation. However North Republic Industries still is going to maintain its proposal of willing to invest serious money into new or old companies that are willing to be active and have a good proposal for a split of their profits, they might even go out to seek out these deals.
May's Sumo Tournament Almost Here!
The May Sumo Tournament which is held in Tokyo is almost upon us, starting on the 10th of his month and continuing on till the 24th of the month. So far all three Yokozuna are expected to be in the tournament. It is looking to be an interesting tournament after what happened in the March Sumo Torunament. Eyes will be on Terunofuji, after having had an excellent record last that last tournament and with it went on to compete to try and win the tournament, people will be looking to see how well he does this time around. Also people will be watching the Yokozuna Harumafuji, who didn't have a great tournament last time but had a great match against Hakuho right at the end of it all, and Hakuho, who will be hoping to get another win this tournament. There will also likely be people watching Kakuryu, the other Yokozuna who due to an injury had to step out of the March tournament, at the beginning of it.
Update I got is that Kakuryu has once again pulled out because of the same injury. This is the first time a Yokozuna has pulled out in two tournaments in a row since I think 2003. Since Kakuryu has never won a tournament pressure will be on him in July to either win or perform very well.
Many other wrestlers will watched as they prepare to try and win the the tournament. They will all be asking the questions, 'Will Hakuho win again?', 'Will Terunofuji win the tournament or beat Hakuho again?' and many more questions as well. To watch Sumo I recommend going to Jason's All-Sumo channel on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjEHJ_fQxC3wgXcIazGWt3Q
The Drakan Overtake?!
Recently the Superiority Order was passed by the Senate with a majority of the Senators voting for it the bill, however when it landed on the President's desk it was vetoed, despite being a Drakan himself. This seems to have caused the Drakans to begin discussing Brick Drakan's future relation with the family. However with the Senate having the needed majority it appears that the veto will be overturned. However despite many people supporting the bill, who may or may not be named Drakan, there are still some critics of it. Most active would probably be Senator Plotus.
Following the passage of the Drakan Superiority Order Senator Plotus proposed a House Disbandment Act which would effectively disband any and all Houses in the Region, replacing them with one club. Senator Plotus said this was because of the amount of power and divide the Houses were causing in the region. However it was met with much criticism for both the bill and him. However Senator Plotus kept pushing and after arguments Plotus decided to resign on May 3rd after calling the region ruled by a "golden circle of members." He named Regiona his replacement and announced that he would leave the region on May 4th, the 4th didn't seem to be with him, despite many pleas for him to stay and some probably saying good bye.
This brings up many different things, such as will the Drakans really be taking over? Will Houses start to play a bigger role? Will we moving towards nobility? Monarchy? Are you still reading? Well time will tell us, maybe.

Azumanga Daioh
Azumanga Daioh -- Called a classic, and with that I pretty much decided to watch it not to mention it is slice of life, and I do love me some slice of life. It is about a group of girls and their adventure through high school mixed in with lots of jokes, trips, all that. Each one in the group has their own personality but they all seem to be friends and have fun together.
The story is slice of life, there isn't really any goal or plot, or anything like that even other slice of life anime has. The story is about the girls and what goes on with them. Can't get more slice of life than that I suppose. It can get boring I suppose but at the same time it is entertaining the comedy and all. It works for it and all in all a decent story.
The Characters are very good, each of them have their own personalities and all of them grow, if a little, over the course of the anime. We get to know them well but they also seem to stay as they are in a way as well, which seems to harken to life. However other than our main characters, a handful of others, and a few teachers we pretty much don't see or learn of any other characters save only a few. Perhaps this is a draw from high school on how we have our group of friends and a few others and seem to drown everyone else out. Though the characters are for the most part enjoyable and I found myself liking them for the most part. They are good.
The Music is good, the opening is good but a little weird and seems to fit, I didn't always watch it though. The Ending was good, I liked it. As for all the other music, I thought that it was good for the most part but I can't remember it being extraordinary.
The Voice Acting, having watched the English dub was good. All the voices were good, and for the most part I liked it.
The Animation is good but also not. It can get lazy and doesn't always look amazing. The Style is alright, though the characters never seem to loose their quality most of the time. It is old as it was made in 2002 I think. However I think that is also bearable and in its own way good.
Overall I liked the anime, though it took me forever to finish it. I watched about half of it, put it down, and only recently was able to finished it. This was after having it on my to watch list for a long time. However I liked it in the end and it turned out to be an enjoyable anime. The ending was, was something. It did touch a cord.
Now and Then, Here and There
Ima, Soko ni Iru Boku as it's also known.
The Story is about Shuu who is just a normal overactive boy who wants to do his best and sticks to his values and ideals. Comes in Lala-Ru whom he sees up on a smoke stack and decides to join. All of a sudden they are transported to a different time or planet where war and death are everywhere. People lack water and are willing to kill for it in some places. Now he must save Lala-ru while also trying to keep to his values.
The Story is good, it deals with war, values, in a way slavery, revenge, loyalty, power, and many other issues and themes. It shows us this world and how Shuu and everyone else has to deal and live with it. How they have to make it through however they can, finding ways to survive and also how to deal with it. It is an interesting story that I think tries to tell us a message and I think after watching it we get that message.
The Characters are good, not all are likeable, or good. But they seem to be made well enough for the anime. They have conflicts, pain, and also change. The development it good. There are some good characters here and they each seem to mean something or have something. I thought that they were well done.
The Music was very good, I liked both the opening and the ending but didn't listen to the opening too much. The music was well done and did its part to do good to the story.
The Voice Acting, having watched the English dub was good, I don't really have any complaints and thought that it was well done.
The Animation is older, and it shows but at the same time I liked it for that and thought that it also fit the anime well. I think that it holds up and has that certain quality about it that just works. I do like that 90s anime style.
Overall I thought it to be a good anime. Though the ending was bittersweet and I didn't like too it well but it did make me cry. But all in all it was a good anime that I liked. Some have called it art and I see why they do. I think that some of you out there will enjoy this anime and so I think that some of you should give it a try.
