This Issue and NRI as a whole and My Struggle!
Posted Image
For the Most part, a great magazine.

Well after much working and grinding I'm writing another issue of The Messenger or The Messenger's Scout, I haven't decided which one yet. It's been hard work to try and get myself to even start this and I have no clue why. I love writing them for sure, maybe it is the time that it takes to turn out one of these, writers block, maybe the subconscious thought that my last two issues didn't fare as well as they have in the past, or something else. What ever it is I hope that I might be able to overcome it. Or I might not in which case you will never be reading what I am typing.

On that I apologize to all loyal readers of The Messenger and those who just glance at our pages once every 2 years. I'm sorry I didn't turn out an issue or two since my last one. That and all the other times when I missed turning out an issue. Seeing as though The Messenger's Scout isn't receiving much support, if I decide to publish this issue it will most likely be a normal Messenger. This has been my Struggle, trying to get another issue out, but just not having what I have had it has been hard and there have been several versions of this issue.

The Elections
Posted Image

Once again the Elections are here! What does that mean? It means that people are running for office and accepting brib... endorsements, yeah endorsements. People are running for the seats in the senate, many of which have gone cold because of a lack of butt to warm them, that and the Senate uses their entire budget to crank their air conditioning up all the way. They are also running for President, Vice President and Delegate. So let's get down to who's running!

For the Senate we have!

  • Monico --- A person who's been in the region on and off for a while know, he is known for his great work at graphics and other things. Running for the National Party, he has come under a lot of fire for his platform which includes merging with The Coalition of Democratic Nations, making new forums, a new flag, and a new name for the region. Many say that he is working for the interest of another region, while Monico says that he wants to make sure that TAR doesn't die.
  • President Pepe --- Not the actual President of the region, despite what he might think, he is Pepe or at least that's what his name tag says. He is a new member to the region and forums, who wants to be a true representative of the people in the region, all people. He has decided to take most of his campaigning to video pod casts that he has uploaded to youtube.
  • Tatu --- An oldie here, he has served in many offices in TAR. Now he's running for the senate (again?). Tatu is someone who wants activity back in the senate, and to fill one of those cold seats with a person who representatives TAR's ideals. He wants increased regional security, and permanent Delegate nation.
  • Northern Timpetotia --- He recently moved from the West to the north. He has given some personal views. He wants TAR to return to the golden days, and wants better checks and balances.
  • Obito --- Said he wanted world domination, but we were bribed not to say that.... and we just did. Anyways Obi wants to make an Obito Day a holiday, make sure that TNR day does not become a holiday, reorganize the constitution, finalize mergers that Lewis has put forward, and have Tyler or Nick or 'the one who we do not name because he has too many names' become recognized as a NS game terrorist.
  • Kyurviksholm --- Don't worry we can pronounce his name either. So we're going to call him Yuuri for now. Yuuri is also a new face in the region! He currently doesn't have any ideas for the region, but wants to be the mouth piece of the region. He would like to make TAR more friendly to new nations by setting up another forum.
  • New Lafayette --- I still don't know how to spell Lafayette with out looking. NL wants activity, non-partisan politics, a government accountability act, and to put the Map Director on the pay roll and make it an official position.

    For Delegate!
  • Lewis and Daniel --- Running for re-election as Delegate. LnD wants a Vice Delegate, to put Senators on foreign affairs missions, to continue small mergers, pass a treaty, have press conferences, open a radio station, and something about the regional security council.
  • RON --- A secret person who never posts on the forum, but seems to run from time to time, saying that if he is elected he will re open the nominations. So far I don't think he's been elected.

    For President!
  • Imp and Cres --- They had to perform a ticket switch which included ripping the ticket, switching the pieces, and taping it back together. Most likely they will be continuing what the team did from last term, or not.
  • RON --- also running for President and Vice President, seeking to re open those nominations.

Well that's it, polls are open, so who are you going to vote for?*

    Hunter x Hunter (2011)

Hunter x Hunter (2011) --- As you might have guessed this is a remade title. The Original aired from 1999 to 2001. I originally tried watching the original first but stopped and later decided to pick up the remake which I did not put down.

The story is about a boy named Gon who lives on Whale Island and he wants to become a Hunter, a person who is given access to a lot of information, money, power, and more, so that he can search for his father Ging. Along the way he meets our other main characters - Leorio who wants to become a hunter so that he can get money - mainly to pay for medical school; Kurapika - who wants to become a hunter to avenge his fallen clan; and Killua, who wants to become a hunter just because he thought that the exam might challenge him and be hard.

The Story of HxH is pretty awesome, I really like the whole Hunter idea which is kind of like the State Alchemist expect that the Hunter Association is pretty much free of any one nation. The Story can get pretty dramatic and perhaps even boarder line dark at times and hold a lot of adventure and action. It really can rap you up and not let you go. It has nice writing and I didn't really notice all put a few fillers which isn't too much.

The characters are also awesome. I have several ones I really like such as Morel, Leorio, Killua, Gon, and Netero. Though I can see faults per se in the characters, that just makes them more human. Though there is one character who is probably a perverted petofile who still likes women and gets a massive turn on from power. The characters develop pretty well I'd say, we can see mainly Gon and Killua the most as they develop from boys to more experienced boys. Especially Killua who perhaps develops the most so far in the story.

The Music, was good. While it did have pretty much the same op, but with different art, it was still cool and good, though I did skip over it many times and sometimes only hit key parts I wanted to see in it. The Endings were also good. I can't specifically remember any background music, but I think that it played well into the story. The Subbed voice acting was also great! I think that all of the voices matched the characters well and they were good!

The Animation is pretty good, I didn't see any faults with it or low budget areas really and it's pretty much all up to date stuff with some great visuals.

The ending, well this show adaption will end, for now at least, after episode 148. Which has yet to air. However with that I will be sorry to see the show go and will wait for it to either be brought back after perhaps the mangaka does more or what ever they need to do.

Overall it was a pretty good show, I really enjoyed and liked it and hope you do too.

    The Wind Rises

The Wind Rises --- I wanted to review this movie because it is the "Last" movie by Hayao Miyazaki and I wanted to do it so I am. So it is also called Kaze Tachinu.

The Story is actually a little biographical. About Japanese boy, Jirou. Who wants to fly planes, but as he has poor eye site decides to instead design planes after having a dream with Giovanni. It details his life trying to become a master plane designer during the outbreak of WWII, wanting to make his plane fly, and it also details his love.

The story is pretty good, it was a nice story and I enjoyed watching it. The pacing and everything was good, what you would expect from Miyazaki. I really liked it, and I don't know what else to really say on it.

The Characters, were well done. They developed and progressed and you came to be attached to them through this world. My favorite character in the movie would probably be Giovanni because he seems to be like a dream mentor to Jirou, and he's kind of cool.

The music... when you have Joe Hisaishi, the music is always great and well done and well placed as well. It was pretty good! I haven't yet found that one piece that seems to be the movie but perhaps I will have to listen again. Also on voice acting, I did watch the dub after debating if I should or not, and I'll say that it was good however there were an actor or two that were really stiff I though and sometimes others were as well. Also they used broken German a couple of times which for the most part I understood but messed with me, as half of their sentence would be in German then they would break out into English.

The Animation... just like the music, chances are when you have Studio Ghibli doing to art it's going to look awesome. Well this did look awesome.

The ending... was an ending. I was watching and it kind of hit me, that this could be Miyazaki's last movie. The Ending was decent and I would have liked it if perhaps it went on a little longer, however with that the ending was also kind of sad and I kind of can't remember all of it.

overall it was a good movie, not the best, but good. So watch it, or other Ghibli.

A New Senate!
Posted Image

After an Election, we are met by a new Senate. Which then had several changes to it once three of it's members took another job in the exectuive. Free States moved after being elected Delegate, Conserlan moved after becoming Secretary of the Treasury, and CPSU moved after becoming Secretary of the Interior again. All that was left was Lewis and Daniel and Cashew. However do not fret, they chose replacements! In respective order here they are, Western Timpetotia, Kevin Washington, and Hunteria D. Now back to a full Senate they moved forward, with such grace and awesomeness.

There first order of business was to elect a Speaker, they nominated Lewis and Daniel for the office. Then one by one they all showed confidence and their vote in him. Helping him to become the Speaker of the Senate. This is Lewis and Daniel's first time as Speaker after having served in many other positions in government and after a failed run for Speaker a while back.

The Senate is already getting to work on some hard issues, having a good handful of new bills to debate. The most notible amoung them are The Tax Act, which would be the first official tax on people's income and property. Written by Lewis and Daniel, where once new taxes were shuned, now seem to be a way to help the economy. Then we also have the Peace Petition, an olive branch that once passed will be sent to the United Commonwealth to try and help mend relations with them. Then finailly the Senate has been taking on a massive project to revise the Constitution through amendments. They have already started on Article I and are making good progress.

Let's hope for a productive term in the Senate. Kanpai

A New Cabinet and Court!
Posted Image

Well after some elections, and boy were they some elections. We now have a new government. Let me now present them, as President we have Mytzonia Senju as his Vice President we have Obito Uchiha, Secretary of the Interiro CPSU, Secretary of Treasury Conserlan, and Attorney General Queen Jeny. Once again the post of Undersecretary of Defense was deemed "not needed" by the government. What will happen? It's anyones guess. We also have our very first, First Lady, Hunteria.

As Delegate we have Free States, and in the courts we have Crescellia as Chief Justice, returning after a life time away, and tons more knowledge gained. We also have Kevo staying on and Wet Lands becoming a new Justice.

So this will be our government. It seemed like it's a good squad of people, ready and eager to make it and help TAR the best that they can. Let's wish them all luck in their offices. Kampai!

School of Otaku Studies
Posted Image
the School of Otaku Studies, located on the University of the Republics grounds.

Lewis and Daniel, a Professor of Law, degree holder, Director of the Law Program, and a bit more. Recently built a new building on the UR grounds, the School of Otaku Studies. Desined to help people increase their knowledge of anime and more. Having many degrees that people can take and learn. While it does need to sand out the edges, it does seem like it might be a popular school that people might be attending.

Also in the news, UR Dean Mytzonia recently announced his retiring from the office and then President Mytzonia named former Dean Lewis and Daniel as new the new Dean of UR. Congratulation.

Some Great Anime News!!!!
Posted Image

That's right we have some great anime news for all of you excited Otaku out there! I hope you will listen, or read in this case, or listen... picture, or hear, my voice coming to you through this writing and into your ear... got it? Alright good. Now moving on, we have some great news that I think several, or perhaps many of us will find awesome and with joy, unless you've already heard in which case you'd be hearing again.

First up, perhaps you all remember me talking about how Mushishi was getting a 40 minute special in January, well as you might know that's out. I haven't watched it yet, because I am waiting for the dub. However something even better is happening! Mushishi is getting a second season! Oh, Yeah! I just watched a trailer on the second season and it looked pretty awesome. The season will start airing on April 5th this year! Now I'm not sure if it will include the same dub cast, I can only hope, but we will have to wait and see on that one. Now I did go a bit further than Season 1 in the Manga, so I think that they would continue with that. It's looking good, let's hope that it will live up to the first season and with any luck it will surpass it.

Next is there is a Sword Art Online Season 2 coming soon! As you may know, or perhaps you don't there was a special episode of SWO on December 31st which I haven't seen, it seems like a little filler, but it might be good. It might actually contain some major plot point. I don't know. Now I do know that SWO 2 will be airing in July. But I don't know the cast, plot, or anything. From the look of it so far it seems like Kirito will still be in and that we will be getting some new characters. I don't have much more on this, but I hope that it will be just as awesome as the First season was.

Other news includes Space Battleship Yamato 2199 will be getting a movie sequel and will be coming out in October it seems. Soul Eater will be getting a spin off and well that seems like it for now. There seem to be a lot of good series coming out this spring so we will see where everything goes and what happens. I will read the latest issue of Otakuusa magazine to see what's going on, people in the UK can also read NEO magazine. I look through it when I'm at Barnes and Nobles. And if you have any requests or anything please contact me.

Space Battleship Yamato 2199 (Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199)

This is a remade title, the original is from the 70s. I had heard about the general title of this several times before, hear and there but I had never watched it or anything. Then one day I was reading a news letter from Otakuusa about what several people thought the best anime of 2013 was, one person chose this remake. I read it and was interested in it, he talked about how it was a great remake of the classic and how he wished it was able to make it in the states more. It untested me, and so I decided that I would watch an episode and I was amazed.

The Story is great, amazing. It starts with Earth has encountered alien life the Garmillias or Gamilon. Earth has achieved some space flight, they have been able to colonize Mars and move about the solar system and they lived in peace but everything changed when the Garmillians attacked. They were able to push humanity back to mars but we were able to win and push them back, then they set up a base on Pluto and started to attack us with planet bombs, a meteor sized rock that is shot with a special weapon and then sent to earth to crash into us and bomb us. Because of countless bombs many have die, and humanity now is forced to live underground in order to survive. Earth's crust is now red and barren, no water or green life found. Humanity has 1 year to live, it is the year 2199. However there is still hope as humanity is building one ship, the Yamato, to find another alien life to seek their aid in resorting earth to the way it was. That is the basic set up and stuff. It is a really interesting and good story line and is able to develop.

The characters are pretty good, while some characters don't develop as much as others you still have a bit of connection with them, but the main characters are developed pretty good, we learn a bit more about them and see them changing and grow over this long journey. However the development could have been stronger in some parts, overall though it was good.

The Music was well done, I liked both the opening and the ending as well as the general background music for the anime. Though the only song I really remember off the top of me is the opening, so rememorability isn't high. I watched it in sub, I don't think that it is out dubbed or will be for sometime. It was a good sub, and the Japanese voice cast was pretty well done, I didn't have any complaints for it and the voices seemed to match the character.

The Animation was well done, very nice and beautiful and I didn't have any complaints about it. It seemed to fit well and it looked good.

The ending, well it made me tear up a little, both from happiness and sorrow, but it was hard to cry went they immediately followed a sad scene by a happy one. But the ending overall was good, little to no complaints here, however they are making a movie squeal so that's good.

Overall it was a very good anime, I'm glad that I watched it. The enjoyment is there, it's really enjoyable.

Log Horizon

Log Horizon --- I originally saw this anime when I was going my Fantasy Anime League and I decided that I wouldn't have it on my list because it sounded like a SAO copy at the time, so I held off. However as time went on and it neared the end of it's airing I decided to give it a go.

The Story starts off with Shiroe waking up in a strange land or rather different then where he once was. He soon realizes that the world looks like Elder Tale, a MMORPG that he has played for a long time, he soon finds out that he is indeed right, when Elder Tale released their latest expansion it dragged 30,000 Japanese players who were online into the game. They are now in Elder Tale without knowing why they are here, how to get back, what to do, or anything. It sets off with Shiroe, a master strategist who's class is enchanter and sub-class is scribe, he soon goes about to try and get a sense of everything.

The story is really good, it has those epic moments where you fell the importance of what the characters are doing and you feel their weight and power, which is always a cool moment. It goes really well as it keeps you into the story and keeps your attension. The story develops well and moves at a good pace, I can't really remember when I felt it going too slow or too fast. While not everything is resolved or developed to the peak, it is going to be having a second season so we can look forward to the story continuing on. There are also some romantic interests that I would love to see further developed.

The characters are pretty good as well, they each seem unique and special, especially the main characters. But this isn't one of those shows that just develops it's main guys, no it goes on to develop a lot of minor characters to the point where you either don't care that they are minor characters or forget that they are. So that's really good.

The Music. For me I wasn't a big fan of the opening, it didn't seem like it fit with the anime. As time went on it did get better for me, but I think I still skipped it most of the time. The Ending though was good and I would usually watch it. The background music and the rest of it seemed pretty good. Looking back on Youtube of the main theme, it was pretty good. I can't say it is the most rememberable, but it fit well. The subbed voice acting was very well done, I thought that all of the characters voices fit and was done well.

The animation was done well, and I really don't have many or any complaints about it.

The ending, well it kind of left you guessing and left you. But then it went right to saying that there would be a second season! So that's great! I very much look forward to watching it.

Overall it was a great anime, where I once thought that it would merely be a play off of SAO and subpar turned into something much much better. I now see that it isn't those things I thought it was when I hadn't watched it. So I urge you not to think that it will be just like SAO or not as good, because you might very well be suprised.

A New Government in Town!
Posted Image
I couldn't find anything else, trust me I looked for a while

With a new government in town, well actually they've been here awhile so more like with a new government in power it marks the end of a term and the start of a new one. Free States and his running mate Libertarian Washington won but before they moved in a couple government officials gave one last address to the People this included Crescellia, who had to drop out of the race because of real life issues, who talked about his term in office and gave it that last huzzah and Lewis and Daniel who talked about what he had done while he was the Undersecretary of Defense. Not too long after Free States took office and got to work. One of our sources said that while Free States was cleaning out the Presidential mansion he found lots of things that others had left behind, like a secret dungeon with screams and cries coming from it, a stash of hentai, rope and a candle, some gum underneath one of the chairs, pants that had been hidden, and a whole lot more like his old gun that he hid in the English Dictionary. It isn't exactly known what Free States did with all of the things he found and we might never find out.

Soon after that Free States released his appointments to the Cabinet which included older faces like Trook and Andune who are now the Secretary of the Interior and Treasure, respectfully, and newer faces like Emrys Mercer who will be taking over the military. Then not too long ago he released his nominations for Attorney General and the Supreme Court Justices to the Senate, with included Mytzonia, who still has to take law classes before he can assume the office, Imperium, Conserlan, and New Lafayette, respectfully.

The Senate also saw some new senators in the elections with Western Timpetotia, Bacilli, and Britarvia all coming back to the Senate after time away and Aurumaquaria replacing Andune and getting his first chance in the region to serve office. With new senators coming in that also means that speaker elections must also come to fruition, this time with Hunteiria, Queen Rebecca and Lewis and Daniel all running. The race was tight however after Hunteiria and Queen Rebecca tied 4 to 4 Lewis and Daniel broke the tie by changing his vote from himself to Hunteiria who will once again be our Speaker.

Hopefully this coming term will be a good one but as many people like to say only time will tell.

Budget Passes By Small Margin!
Posted Image
We took this picture of Andune after he heard about it all

Recently Secretary of the Treasury Andune proposed a budget for the month of January to the Senate where debate on it went on for sometime on a variety of issues regarding the budget until it was moved to the voting stage. However the budget saw very little support from the Senate with only 4 Senators voting for it, 2 against and 2 abstained from voting; meaning that the budget only passed by 2 votes and a very slim margin, perhaps the smallest margin a budget has passed on in over 6 months. The Senators voting against and abstaining did so for a variety of reasons such as cutting the salaries of senators who had no say in if they wanted their salary cut yet saying that they did, little transparency and no receipt from the Department of Treasury on how they exactly spend $25,000 while other departments who had published a receipt and had the ability to spend more were left at under $5,000, among other issues.

However this seemed to infuriate the Secretary and a few others who barged in on the voting stage in the Senate and disrupted the chamber, who will be fined. Order was restored. However the Secretary went on to post several other posts in other threads about the budget and what he thought of the senators who didn't vote for it, once such quote "So don't expect me to raise any payments again for Senators who, as I see it, didn't do their job correctly." as some conspiracy theorists view this as well as others, they see this quote as the Secretary saying that he will be holding the Senator's salaries hostage because they didn't vote they way that he wanted and will probably lower Senator's salaries again in February.

Though the budget has passed, so in the long run while it didn't get the support other budgets in the past have it stilled passed which means that the government can continue operating and no shutdown will be had, but this could also mean that more thought and planning will be going into the next budget and hopefully it will be able to get more votes and be a better budget.

Naruto RP Going On!
Posted Image
Naruto.

With a slue of other role plays going on several people have still found time to start another one which looks very promising or at least for now, a Naruto role play. The role play which as you might have figured out takes place in the world of Naruto where people get to develop their own characters who can the ability to have some totally awesome jutsu. Currently in the RP there is a tournament in the Leaf Village that will be testing the skills of shinobi and ninja all over the world, which was done to see what our characters got versus others. So far the tournament hasn't started so new members can join at anytime they want, no knowledge of Naruto needed, but helpful.
That's not all there is also a lot of out of context talk about Naruto like pairings, you know Naruto x Hinata, Neji x Tenten, so on. However many other role plays have started out just as fine like the New Modern World RP, and many others but soon fall to inactivity and other nasty things. Will the Naruto RP also fall to those things? Let's hope not but only time will actually tell us. That's time for you, always holding the secrets we want to know.

Update on The Messenger and NRI
Posted Image
I was wanting to use this picture :3

Hello everyone and thank you once again for reading the wonderful paper that we like to call The Messenger. Before we get into everything else about the company I'd just like to tell you a few things. The first time The Messenger appeared in NationStates was several years ago as The British Messenger in The United Kingdom, it didn't stay for long though later I believe I opened it up again in The Kingdom of Denmark as The Danish Messenger. The Messenger might have also been in a couple other regions but I forget. Now we've been in The Allied Republic and first published on July 25, 2012. Now it's January 12, 2014 and this is our 27th issue. We are one of the oldest and longest running papers here and are nearing our 30th issue. It has been quite a journey and we'd like to thank you for helping us out every step of the way.

Next we'd like to talk about The Messenger Postal Service, the very first postal service of it's kind in the region. It is a subdivision of The Messenger which as the name implies sends out letters, messages, and telegrams. The company has a very effective formula for determining payment. The base fee, currently $100, then $3 times the number of messages or telegrams you want to send out, then if you want us to write the letter an additional fee is added.

The Goddess Casino has also opened up which deals with bets, gambling and all that other cool stuff. It recently held bets on the elections and will probably do so again next election. It is also working to develop a lotto and other forms of gambling.

North Republic Industries is doing quite well and has been seeing good profits so far from it's various companies and will be publishing a finial report very soon.

An Interview with Trook about his New Elections Act
Posted Image

Today we sat down with Secretary of the Interior Trook where we we're able to talk to him about Election Act VI which he hopes will help to improve the region and cut down on the red tape that's involved with our election process.

TM: 1. How will this new Elections Act be cutting red tape and how will it help the election process?

Trook: The new act will help by cutting down bureaucracy such as the election reports as long with cutting down in the wording of the law to make it simpler to understand what quicker to find out what you need to know.

TM: 2. Why did you decide to write a new elections act?

Trook: Well as part of my tasks as Secretary of the Interior I have been tasked by President Free States to cut down on the admin side of the SOI and to deal with some issues that people raised and he himself agreed with that made people feel restricted in the elections particularly in regards to political parties being limited to only have as many candidates as there are seats to win in the senate elections.

TM: 3. Why do you think it is better than the current one?

Trook: Well this version is less cumbersome than the lasts in terms of limitations and formal reports which some Secretaries ignored, I am not naming names but there was a key link between getting elected to senate then not doing the report. I also admit to myself that it is a lot simpler as I can almost fir it on one screen without having to slide down whilst keeping necessary regulation.

TM: 4. Imperium also proposed an election act not too long ago, why do you think yours is better?

Trook: Although I know Imperium will disagree but I feel his is too simple to the point we lose standardisation which keeps the elections the name every time so no one can start saying one election is harder than the other due to how they were organised. Secondly you also lost a lot of accountability in his due to the SOI not even being required to encourage people to vote or to stand as candidates which I think would lead elections having less participation along with the Senate loosing he ability to impeach the SOI if they done a job so bad that they had to be remove.

TM: Alright, thank you. Is there anything else you would like to add?

Trook: It has the formal and official support of the President + It looks like Imps may be voted down in the senate

There you have it folks straight from the Secretary himself.

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor

1. The Irresponsible Captain Tylor -- Also sometimes called Musekinin Kanchou Tylor. It aired in 1993. It starts out with Justy Ueki Tylor who after seeing an ad decides to join the military, get a desk job, and then retire with a fat pension. That was until he managed to save an former admiral from people who were holding him hostage and to reward Tylor he is promoted and becomes the Captain of the Soyokaze. It goes on from there.

The Story is good, it's entertaining and enjoyable. It's not really deep but it still has a nice story. It is a comedy, parody, space, military, anime. It is really funny a lot of the time. It is nice to watch and let's you break away from life and drama. At times you may stray away from it but you'll come back. The Characters are pretty good, Captain Tylor is really funny and a likable and enjoyable character as well as others like Yuriko, Yamamoto, and Goza. I liked them. Character development is there, the characters really change through out the anime. You see how the crew grows together and how they change. It's pretty good. The music is good, I really enjoyed the opening and ending themes and as well as some of the other soundtracks, they were pretty good and I wish I could find the ringtones. I watched the English dub, it was good, I thought that the voices matched the characters pretty well. The animation is old, it was from 1993, but I also liked watching that older animation sometimes. It isn't the best but it's fine.

The ending was nice, there is a OVA squeal but I haven't seen it yet. The enjoyment is good, I liked it, it was nice. It was also nice to watch older anime, I do like watching older anime sometimes.

Nodame Cantabile

2. Nodame Cantabile -- One of my favorite anime, it deals with music and the life of Shinichi Chiaki and Megumi Noda or as everyone calls her Nodame. The story starts off with Chiaki walking around campus of a music college, and says that everything's bad or terrible or something, but he then hears something that's not terrible. Chiaki is from a respectable family and has traveled around Europe and has been in Japan for a while. He can play the piano and the violin and is good at both, however wishes to become a conductor and he is a perfectionist. Nodame plays the piano an unkempt girl. The story goes on.

The story is wonderful, I really enjoyed it and it was amazing. I really liked it, it deals with music, slice of of life, drama, romance, comedy, and is josei. I really liked it as it told a wonderful story and I really liked how it deals with college. The pacing is also well done. The Characters are wonderful, Chiaki and Nodame are wonderful and amazing I really liked them as well as many of the other characters like Milch. Not only that but I also like the relationships between the characters. The Character development was also pretty well done and it's nice. You can see how they develop and move. The music, really key to the anime as it deals with classical music. The music is wonderful, the opening and ending are very wonderful and I like them and have used both of them as ringtones. Not only that but the songs that they play though out the series. This anime really helped me to really start liking classical music again. Now for the voice acting I watched the first season dubbed on Crackle and it was great I really liked it the voices were good, but I don't think that they have dubbed any further than that so I had to watch the second season subbed, which was good but I would have liked to have had the dubbed. The animation is also well done, I liked it.

The ending of the first season was good of course I went to the second season later and still have to watch the third. The enjoyment is great, I really liked it. This is one of my favorite anime, I just love it. I have also read a lot fo the manga after it, I didn't jump ahead though and still need to finish reading a lot of it.
