This Issue and NRI as a whole and My Struggle!
Posted Image
For the Most part, a great magazine.

Well after much working and grinding I'm writing another issue of The Messenger or The Messenger's Scout, I haven't decided which one yet. It's been hard work to try and get myself to even start this and I have no clue why. I love writing them for sure, maybe it is the time that it takes to turn out one of these, writers block, maybe the subconscious thought that my last two issues didn't fare as well as they have in the past, or something else. What ever it is I hope that I might be able to overcome it. Or I might not in which case you will never be reading what I am typing.

On that I apologize to all loyal readers of The Messenger and those who just glance at our pages once every 2 years. I'm sorry I didn't turn out an issue or two since my last one. That and all the other times when I missed turning out an issue. Seeing as though The Messenger's Scout isn't receiving much support, if I decide to publish this issue it will most likely be a normal Messenger. This has been my Struggle, trying to get another issue out, but just not having what I have had it has been hard and there have been several versions of this issue.

The Elections
Posted Image

Once again the Elections are here! What does that mean? It means that people are running for office and accepting brib... endorsements, yeah endorsements. People are running for the seats in the senate, many of which have gone cold because of a lack of butt to warm them, that and the Senate uses their entire budget to crank their air conditioning up all the way. They are also running for President, Vice President and Delegate. So let's get down to who's running!

For the Senate we have!

  • Monico --- A person who's been in the region on and off for a while know, he is known for his great work at graphics and other things. Running for the National Party, he has come under a lot of fire for his platform which includes merging with The Coalition of Democratic Nations, making new forums, a new flag, and a new name for the region. Many say that he is working for the interest of another region, while Monico says that he wants to make sure that TAR doesn't die.
  • President Pepe --- Not the actual President of the region, despite what he might think, he is Pepe or at least that's what his name tag says. He is a new member to the region and forums, who wants to be a true representative of the people in the region, all people. He has decided to take most of his campaigning to video pod casts that he has uploaded to youtube.
  • Tatu --- An oldie here, he has served in many offices in TAR. Now he's running for the senate (again?). Tatu is someone who wants activity back in the senate, and to fill one of those cold seats with a person who representatives TAR's ideals. He wants increased regional security, and permanent Delegate nation.
  • Northern Timpetotia --- He recently moved from the West to the north. He has given some personal views. He wants TAR to return to the golden days, and wants better checks and balances.
  • Obito --- Said he wanted world domination, but we were bribed not to say that.... and we just did. Anyways Obi wants to make an Obito Day a holiday, make sure that TNR day does not become a holiday, reorganize the constitution, finalize mergers that Lewis has put forward, and have Tyler or Nick or 'the one who we do not name because he has too many names' become recognized as a NS game terrorist.
  • Kyurviksholm --- Don't worry we can pronounce his name either. So we're going to call him Yuuri for now. Yuuri is also a new face in the region! He currently doesn't have any ideas for the region, but wants to be the mouth piece of the region. He would like to make TAR more friendly to new nations by setting up another forum.
  • New Lafayette --- I still don't know how to spell Lafayette with out looking. NL wants activity, non-partisan politics, a government accountability act, and to put the Map Director on the pay roll and make it an official position.

    For Delegate!
  • Lewis and Daniel --- Running for re-election as Delegate. LnD wants a Vice Delegate, to put Senators on foreign affairs missions, to continue small mergers, pass a treaty, have press conferences, open a radio station, and something about the regional security council.
  • RON --- A secret person who never posts on the forum, but seems to run from time to time, saying that if he is elected he will re open the nominations. So far I don't think he's been elected.

    For President!
  • Imp and Cres --- They had to perform a ticket switch which included ripping the ticket, switching the pieces, and taping it back together. Most likely they will be continuing what the team did from last term, or not.
  • RON --- also running for President and Vice President, seeking to re open those nominations.

Well that's it, polls are open, so who are you going to vote for?*

    Hunter x Hunter (2011)

Hunter x Hunter (2011) --- As you might have guessed this is a remade title. The Original aired from 1999 to 2001. I originally tried watching the original first but stopped and later decided to pick up the remake which I did not put down.

The story is about a boy named Gon who lives on Whale Island and he wants to become a Hunter, a person who is given access to a lot of information, money, power, and more, so that he can search for his father Ging. Along the way he meets our other main characters - Leorio who wants to become a hunter so that he can get money - mainly to pay for medical school; Kurapika - who wants to become a hunter to avenge his fallen clan; and Killua, who wants to become a hunter just because he thought that the exam might challenge him and be hard.

The Story of HxH is pretty awesome, I really like the whole Hunter idea which is kind of like the State Alchemist expect that the Hunter Association is pretty much free of any one nation. The Story can get pretty dramatic and perhaps even boarder line dark at times and hold a lot of adventure and action. It really can rap you up and not let you go. It has nice writing and I didn't really notice all put a few fillers which isn't too much.

The characters are also awesome. I have several ones I really like such as Morel, Leorio, Killua, Gon, and Netero. Though I can see faults per se in the characters, that just makes them more human. Though there is one character who is probably a perverted petofile who still likes women and gets a massive turn on from power. The characters develop pretty well I'd say, we can see mainly Gon and Killua the most as they develop from boys to more experienced boys. Especially Killua who perhaps develops the most so far in the story.

The Music, was good. While it did have pretty much the same op, but with different art, it was still cool and good, though I did skip over it many times and sometimes only hit key parts I wanted to see in it. The Endings were also good. I can't specifically remember any background music, but I think that it played well into the story. The Subbed voice acting was also great! I think that all of the voices matched the characters well and they were good!

The Animation is pretty good, I didn't see any faults with it or low budget areas really and it's pretty much all up to date stuff with some great visuals.

The ending, well this show adaption will end, for now at least, after episode 148. Which has yet to air. However with that I will be sorry to see the show go and will wait for it to either be brought back after perhaps the mangaka does more or what ever they need to do.

Overall it was a pretty good show, I really enjoyed and liked it and hope you do too.

    The Wind Rises

The Wind Rises --- I wanted to review this movie because it is the "Last" movie by Hayao Miyazaki and I wanted to do it so I am. So it is also called Kaze Tachinu.

The Story is actually a little biographical. About Japanese boy, Jirou. Who wants to fly planes, but as he has poor eye site decides to instead design planes after having a dream with Giovanni. It details his life trying to become a master plane designer during the outbreak of WWII, wanting to make his plane fly, and it also details his love.

The story is pretty good, it was a nice story and I enjoyed watching it. The pacing and everything was good, what you would expect from Miyazaki. I really liked it, and I don't know what else to really say on it.

The Characters, were well done. They developed and progressed and you came to be attached to them through this world. My favorite character in the movie would probably be Giovanni because he seems to be like a dream mentor to Jirou, and he's kind of cool.

The music... when you have Joe Hisaishi, the music is always great and well done and well placed as well. It was pretty good! I haven't yet found that one piece that seems to be the movie but perhaps I will have to listen again. Also on voice acting, I did watch the dub after debating if I should or not, and I'll say that it was good however there were an actor or two that were really stiff I though and sometimes others were as well. Also they used broken German a couple of times which for the most part I understood but messed with me, as half of their sentence would be in German then they would break out into English.

The Animation... just like the music, chances are when you have Studio Ghibli doing to art it's going to look awesome. Well this did look awesome.

The ending... was an ending. I was watching and it kind of hit me, that this could be Miyazaki's last movie. The Ending was decent and I would have liked it if perhaps it went on a little longer, however with that the ending was also kind of sad and I kind of can't remember all of it.

overall it was a good movie, not the best, but good. So watch it, or other Ghibli.
