All That Jazz!

A Jazz Session

As the wheel turns so I find my self at a lost as what to write about, so I decided that I'd write about some Jazz. What exactly, well we'll find out. Well last issue one of my anime recommendations was Kids on the Slope, which deals with Jazz, and a lot of other things. Kind of like how Nodame Cantabile gets you into Classical, Kids on the Slope gets you into Jazz. Jazz is Jazz, coming to us in the early 1920s since then it has been. Hear songs like, Lullaby of Birdland, Moanin', But Not for Me, My Favorite Things, Someday My Prince Will Come. You don't have to watch Kids on the Slope to listen to these songs. Just search them, you could even listen to the Kids on the Slope soundtrack. But what you do want to do is get All That Jazz!

So once again we set to look for the next special article and this time we found ourselves stalking, I mean following, wiretapping, taking pictures, of Trook. We all know him as a former Secretary of State, a Senator, and as the CEO of CCC. However are there things that we don't know about him? Yes, yes there are. It turn out that Trook is homeless, not even living under an awesome bridge. However he does often go to hotels. And that's not all we have seen him go into several hotels together with 5 different women. We cut the wiretaps at that point. Who knows what we might have heard, perhaps a conspiracy to get keep him in office? a business deal? the black market? More writers for his paper? Or was it something else all together? Maybe we shouldn't have cut the wiretaps after all.
Well we also caught him eyeing new senator Andune in the Senate Chambers, right after that he was eyeing Bacilli. Then he went to work. All of this is very interesting, I'm sure. However that was all we were able to get before CCC security almost caught us and we had to start running, fast. 

 

 

Mon and Mein, New!

 

 

North Republics Industries has been working to expand its self and looking to new industries and businesses as a result. Last issue we mentioned that The Messenger had several new ideas which included a newsletter and a postal service, if you are still interested in it contact us.
Now a new logo and graphics company has bloomed under North Republic Industries, Mon and Mein. Mon from Monico and Mein from S-RS Meinhardt. It is now one of the few active graphics companies around! The price table is already out, and already the orders are flooding in like water into a bath tub. This is great news to both Mon and Mein and North Republics Industries as it looks like both of their stock value, what ever it is, it's raising high. Mon and Mein will be doing all sorts of graphics from logos, to flags, to seals, to advertisements, you name it and they might be able to do it. Mon and Mein is made up of a great team of specialists working to please your eyes.
Also should The Moe Card get popular enough, Mon and Mein will most likely be the place where we will be getting the Moe Cards made.

AI Media, Will it Survive?

We Sense a new media company in the Area

 

AI Media, the newest media company. That's right you might have heard it, or not, but Conerlan has founded AI Media, we don't really know what the AI stands for but we're going with Anime Is Media, but it has not been confirmed. With AI Media opening it has three branches in it AI Investigator, AI Radio, AI Vision. Also the Pay is seems to be very high for new writers in the AI Investigator, and so we wonder if they will have enough money to keep it alive. Will the company survive? Well we don't know right now but one thing is certain, the wheels are turning for them we just don't know how much gas they have. We here at The Messenger and NRI wish the company luck, in this ever fierce market. 

 

 

 A New Military Plan

On June 22nd Colonel Lewis and Daniel proposed to the Defense Council his new military and defense plan. The Plan included a slightly modified rank system, military offices and their uses, also allowing for other regions who are under our control and protection to get involved in our military, the plan also allows for either a mercenary or imperialist sway for our military, and more offices for people to get active in the military. It also covers insignia which allows for pride and a way to show off your rank. It also covers the military uniform, which is like the ones pictured in the above picture, it also requires that females wear tiny miniskirts. The Plan further goes on to cover military honors, breaking them up into three parts. First the stars which you get after so many missions that you go on, giving incentive to go on missions. Second is the Service awards, which award those who have been in the military for so long. Last is the crosses, two crosses one for times of war and crisis and the other for dedication and service and all that jazz.
This new plan has been well received by the people and is expected to be adapted into the military once the new Defense Commissioner is seated and ready to go. This new plan is aimed at revamping the military to make it a more active and fun place with honors, insignia, uniforms, offices, and more. This new plan should help the military in the coming future as it becomes a more active and fun place. We would like to thank the hard work of the Colonel.

 

 

New and Old Bills, What's Happening?

We will be going over several bills that have been proposed and what they plan to do and what the response seems to be to them.
First is the Advanced Award System, this was written by Imperium and Monico, to improve upon our current award system. This comes with new medals for the awards which have received a massive amount of awe and support however it is in the writing where things waver. Earlier it was proposed that any admin would be able to give a medal out, compared to the nomination process. Even now the current version would allow for the President, Vice President, and the Senate to give out awards. This too seems to allows the nomination process to be forgotten, misused, and stepped on. How will it go?
Next is the Department of Research & Development Act, written by Conserlan, it hopes to create a Department of Research and Development which would research into new business ideas, new technology, entertainment, and role-plays. This bill has been getting a lot of smash, especially from The Patriot which seems to be going again, many saying that the market could just do this for themselves. Who knows where this bill will go.
Constitution Executive Edit Amendment, written by Lewis and Daniel, one in his series of Edit Amendments to the constitution. Since its defeat in the Senate last time and the talk about rights, it has been getting much support and has made it back to the Senate where it seems like it might pass compared to when it was there before. The bill hopes to edit grammatical, spelling, placement, wording, etc. in the Executive Article in the Constitution.
Last to talk about here is the Senate Procedure Act of 2013, written by the recently re-active Lelvona, this bill wants to place the restriction on bills that want to change the constitution only be allowed to amend no more than 1 section of the constitution at a time so bills like the Constitution Executive Edit Amendment would have to be broken into about 9 or 10 different bills. Lelvona has said that this is to allow senators to read bills easier even though it is their job to read the bills in the first place. So far this bill has seen all but negative with many people against it.

Hello, Hello, Hello we are once again back for another addition to my favorite section. Also I would be happy to talk about any series or movie that you might want to discuss. Also I have found out about a new anime site. Once again I shall list the names of those I have done. Also Lewis and Daniel is always happy to talk about anime with you. Or if you need to know some anime sites just ask! This time you will also be getting a Summer time edition! Why because with summer coming round you might just have more time to spend watching anime and reading manga not just short ones either. Also we have Monico back a loyal anime fan. We will keep up with these Summertime Editions for a while.

So what might get you going? What can you do you want to know some basic otaku terminology and what not? What to do? I'll tell you what go and get The Otaku Encyclopedia by Patrick W. Galbraith. I read this a while back and recently bought it on amazon. Well I can tell you that it is a good read, you will learn a lot, about otaku and other things. It will help you learn. Look for it at your local library, maybe search it on the catalog. This is a good book to learn from. Also you might want to read Anime essentials by Gilles Poitras while your at it.

Now how about some good anime that will get me going? Well Mushishi is awesome, really awesome. Great anime and an awesome character. Also Kino's Journey and Spice and Wolf both really awesome. My words of praise would price into the night until morning. Eureka Seven is also a great anime, in 50 there are barely any filler and what ones there are they're enjoyable. How about an anime with some thought and all that? How about Death Note, this one will do just that and will make you think what would I do with a Death Note? Good anime. Kyou kara Maoh is pretty good too. Kimi Ni Todoke is great!!!!!!

More Movies, well how about 5 Centimeters Per Second this movie is beautiful yet so sad. You should watch it and then you'll probably have to talk to me. How about Wolf Children, I haven't seen that one yet nor My Neighbor Totoro. How about Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind? You should totally watch Whisper of the Heart.

Now Manga, well you could read Orange Yane no Chiisana Ie , or Mushishi, Nodame Cantabile, Love so Life. Well that's all for now.

Another thing is Otaku usa magazine is a good magazine for all that anime, manga, toys, cosplay, etc. needs.

General Election sign-ups, Conspiracy, and More!!  

 

As you all know, or at least should, the General Elections are here. With the Presidential and Delegate poll already gone up. So now we do have a couple of conspiracies for you all. It was determined by the Conspiracy Protection Agency that the NHK or some one else put in to the Conservative Party head quarters a secret device which messed with their minds, and because of this the Conservative Party put forward 3, Presidential candidates. After the removal of the device and a meeting and some voting the ticket became Conserlan for President and Lewis and Daniel for Vice President. This election will surely be interesting with two other tickets there as well being The North Republic for President and Icamera for Vice President and Trook for President and Lehi for Vice President. We all wonder who will win and if there will be a run-off.
Now with the Delegate election, the popular candidate Obito hailing from the Conservative Party seems to be like the one who will win especially since (DONT PICK THIS, I NEED TO PUT MORE THAN ONE CHOICE FOR THIS TO WORK.) did not run again this time. I think that many are sad because of this and it has given Obito more supporters since almost everyone doesn't seem to like the Independen, Re-Open Nominations aka RON. Well he does have 4 votes. . . so . . . I guess some like him.

 

Free States Conspiracy, Both in and around him.

Well we have some reason to believe that their is a Free States Conspiracy out there and it deals with the elections. Free States is not in this conspiracy alone, oh no. In fact this could be one of the oldest conspiracies in our region, having just been really looked at by our special Conspiracy team. It also has many parts to it. First off Free States was president for 3 terms as we know, however he has only ever run for the Senate not for Delegate or President or as Vice President since then. However every election someone says he should run, almost always. And he always turns it down. He also had high ratings in the survey put on by the CCC. He also asks questions to every candidate. So with all this and more, we have determined that Free States is actually planning on running for President in the near future, however he needs to make it look like he isn't power hungry and that he is the best. So he has been putting down other presidential candidates, and done other such things. He contacted CCC to have that survey done so that he can know how much the people want him. With all of this in place it only reasons that he is setting things up in the near future to run again.
Of Course everything I said could just be nothing but there is no reason to deny it either.

 

A Special Conserlan Article

So for the last week or so we started following Conserlan around The Allied Republics, trying to find what we could so we could come up with this article. Well first thing we found that he is actually pretty much homeless, living on the streets somewhere in Amestris. We also found out that if he gets hungry he picks up vending machines right out of the ground and once emptied he throws them at people who he doesn't really like. All that info there was pretty hard to get. However we also found out that after his job as a Senator he is a bartender. But perhaps the most surprising of them all is that he has large quantities of cleaning supplies, this could mean many things. Does he like to clean? Does he sell them on the street like the little girl with matches? Does he commit terrible crimes that he needs to clean up after? or some other unknown reason. Well we don't really know but if we find out we will be sure to tell you are loyal readers.

 

 

Code N, a Crisis and Conspiracy 

 

What we here at the messenger are calling Code N, a crisis and conspiracy, is the recent crisis which took the region by storm dealing with the founder, key members, and the region. As you may know Unciniple was recently had a trial where we was sentenced, and well shortly after things escalated and snowballed. It was caused by not one person but many. Perhaps we first start off with former Delegate Rhein leaving us in a presumed rage quit. We then had elections and elected Lehi. Perhaps since such a change occurred the delegate, the founder took away the executive powers. Normal in such situations, however this is where things start going really south. The founder then password locked the region and ejected several members. He says that he wants respect which we should given him and some who have withheld it and have bashed him. Additionally we then had the poor to little response by the TNR administration, and then we had Imperium who organized that we should jump ship, and move to a new region, which put fuel on the fire. They did little to help it and told us to jump no legal course taken. It was thanks to the other loyal people that we truly evaded a catastrophe who tried the diplomatic side and who didn't jump. It over now, and while some people still don't trust some people, which was a key in this crisis, it has been settled and things seem to be returning to normal. Or so we thought.

 

Update on the Return of the Patriot

In our last issue we talked about the return of the fallen patriot can it survive, and how the next issue would come out on June 7th. Well he were are past that date and yet we have seen no patriot. There was even a small protest going on in front of the Republic News Corporation while they had a meeting, as seen in the picture above. That picture was hard to get we had to hang upside down in a tree to take it while listening in on the conversation. Unfortunately that was all we got out of it because our man soon feel out of the tree and had to be taken away. But we can deduct that at least for the time being the Patriot will remain fallen. This is also means that the Republic News Corporation will also be taking another turn for the worse. So for now we only have three papers, and we all know that The Messenger is the top one. 

 

The Messenger, NRI, Ideas and How its Going

A Loyal Reader, just like you

Here we are again. The Messenger has been seeing great success recently, thanks to the loyal readers and those who give it praise. We've been said that we're better than the Imperial Tabloid, and I hope that we're better than the Allied Republican. And here we are at Issue #16, remember when we just came out in July. We're almost a year old, now. It brings our Editor-in-Chief great joy to know that people like and read this paper, thank you all. So some ideas we've been thinking of the first and perhaps the better of the two might be a postal service. Paying a small charge then paying per message sent. I mean want to get a business ad out there? Want to get your campaign our there? Seems good right? Next idea is The Messenger Newsletter, for a small fee, you'd get the Newsletter filled with extras, more anime and manga, more commentary, ads, and what not. However it wouldn't be as long as the newspaper. If you sound interested in these Ideas tell us!
Also recently The First Regional Bank of Anime and The Moe Card, both tests in the water ventures by North Republic Industries, seeing how things go. They seem to be great things, and only time and how many people use them, will determine how long they're around. The CEO is especially excited about the Moe Card, where you can choose your Moe girl!

Now say you hear a pretty good anime op or ed, or background music. Well you just want it for a ringtone, along with 30 other ones. Well at zedge.net you might just be able to find it. If you don't have a smartphone then no worries, just do what I do. download it to the computer then send it to your phone via email. Done you now have it! Aren't you glad I talked about it now?

Alright you got some time on your hands, you're okay with a longer series and you're okay with a short one. Well here are some good ones to keep you entertained and ones that you should probably see. I've already said a lot but I'm up for more. Fullmetal Alchemist is defiantly one and I would defiantly recommend that you want the original series before you watch brotherhood, but that might just be me. Next Clannad might be a good one. Air might float your boat, though it will mess with your mind and your heart, so that one might be iffy. Maybe some calm and relaxing yet ever so entertaining Mushishi. How about the Legend of the Legendary Heroes? or Tiger and Bunny. Or Utawarerumono and Itazura na Kiss.

Now Movies again. Movie night is always good right! The Girl Who Leapt Though Time, Whisper of the Heart, or one I hope to re-watch soon Spirited Away. Princess Mononok. or Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. Watch one or more, I'm feeling kind of lonely. Good news though is I recently made a new friend in the region Anime. But it'd still help if you all watched some.

Manga, well I am going to be reading Hana-Kimi here soon, so you might want to read it with me. Orange Yane no Chiisana Ie is good, and School Rumble is always funny. Or maybe Ai Yori Aoshi. or Kimi ni Todoke or Genshiken.

Another thing is Otaku usa magazine is a good magazine for all that anime, manga, toys, cosplay, etc. needs.

I'd be happy to talk about any of these or more.

 Midterm Elections and the Delegate By-election, Conspiracies all round!

With Out Much Love or Chocolate.

 

The Midterm election were here and then they passed like butter on a hot plate, with molasses blocking its way. If that made sense the good, if it didn't then that's fine with me. Yes seems that the Puzzle, The Conspiracy Protection Agency, did in fact confirm that there was a conspiracy in the midterm elections, but it didn't happen before the polls, no it was during and after? Well you see Secretary of State Lewis and Daniel opened the polls like always, and as he said they would close on the 23rd of May, however the Secretary wasn't able to close them at the time and instead President Admin The Northern Republic closed them as have been done before by an admin for him and Deputy Secretary of State Trook immediately posted the statistics. When the Secretary then got back on he took the results of the poll closing and sent them to the Supreme Court, however the Supreme Court wasn't willing to accept those results, why we don't know. But they then said that the polls where never closed in the first place even though they have been closed before in such a fashion. Admin Imperium then closed the polls for a second time and presented those results to the Supreme Court and they seemed to like those results much better. So what is the difference? "Nothing" said Mr. Sato Recruit, director of the Conspiracy Protection Agency, CPA. And So the CPA ruled this as a conspiracy.

Well who was elected? After the run-off too? Well it was Bacilli, Ryfin, Conserlan, Obito, Western Timpetotia, and Trook.

On the Much less controversial Delegate By-election, It was Lehi vs. Trook in a one on one fight. And Lehi pulled out on top as the region's new Delegate and will finish out Rhein's Term.

 

 

A New Supreme Court!

Well after Justice Jeny's resignation because of real life issues and being busy and after Lehi's resignation so that he could become the Delegate the Supreme Court was left with just one justice. Meaning that the court would get a majority of new people in. So you all are asking who did the President choose? Well it was nominated that recently elected Senator and former Justice and Chief Justice of the court Bacilli, HD, would be the Chief Justice, and would return to the court life. And that Secretary of State, Director of the Law Program, longest serving Attorney General Lewis and Daniel, LLD, would be an Associate Justice. These nominations have received much love and support from the Senate and has already been moved to vote where it has already 6 votes for and 0 Nays. So it is very likely that it will be a unanimous decision from the Senate on these nominations. Let us see just what this new court has in store.

 

Return of the Fallen Patriot can it survive?

 

 

The Patriot, a once thriving newspaper run by Republic News Corporation, has since fallen into hiatus and inactivity. However CEO Britarvia announced on June 2nd that The Patriot would be returning on June 7. As you also know the Allied Republican also made a return to the News industry not too long ago. Now it seems to be going good for them, while they may not still be on top they are making a big come back. Now the question is will The Patriot do the same? The News industry has changed since it was last printing and is now dominated mainly by The Messenger and Imperial Tabloids then there is the Allied Republican too. So will The Patriot survive its comeback or will it be shot down and end up being discontinued either by the competition or by falling back into inactivity. With so many things time is the only one who can tell us this. 

 

Free States back in the Treasury!

Once again Free States has made it back into the Treasury and already had differed from former Secretary of Treasury Imperium's plan. With Free States back in the treasury we hope to see some of the same activity as we once saw back when he the Secretary. He has however kept the same Deputy from Imperium and contracted out the budget making. What will he do next, we don't really know. But one thing we have found out was that he did go to medical school so everything should be fine.

 

New Political Parties

Left assumed Free States and Right is Lewis and Daniel or just Lewis

As proclaimed by the Score, The Freedom Party and the Federalist Union Party have both been merged into the Conservative Party. The Conservative Party has been founded by Free States and Lewis and Daniel already giving the party two great people for its new ranks. They were later joined by people like Obito and Conserlan and others. This has allowed the Conservative Party to shoot through the ranks and become the top party in the government. The Conservative Party is hoping that such success will continue.
Also The Rising Liberty Party, which only seem to be here one day and gone the next though lasting longer than some other parties, was disbanded at its height after internal problems. Also a new party the Affiliated Independents has come into being founded by Imperium and soon joined by The Northern Republics and other people. This party too has shot through the ranks to become the second biggest party in the government. Also the United Left is the third and the Republican Party is now in fourth. Leaving The Allied Republics to becoming close to having 3 parties. Which most agree is a good number for the Region.

 

 

A Special Time with Obito!

Recently The Messenger has been looking around and looking for things and found its self stalking Obito and gathering information for this special article, but as we all know most of the time stalking is just deep love.
Well one of the first things we found out deals with the above picture and a conversation. We got that picture from Lewis and Daniel, and it was posted on the forums earlier in May. Well a little conversation arose about it between Obito and Lewis and Daniel, where and we quote from Obito "Would you like me to cosplay it for you lol" where Lewis and Daniel then replied, which seems to be enthusiastically "Yes!" But it ends there. After some more digging we have found out that Lewis and Daniel has even been paying off Obito's debts, which we don't know where is from, coming close to $4,000. So After all of this we have been wondering and wondering what exactly is happening? Well after more digging we've come to conclude nothing yet, aside from what we have told you. Nothing else. So is this just two friends talking to and helping each other? Possibly.

Culture/Opinion/Good Anime Section - Summertime Edition!

 

Hello, Hello, Hello we are once again back for another addition to my favorite section. Remember that the names of the new ones are links to MyAnimeList were you can find more information, Synopsis, reviews, average score, Voice Actors, and more!  Also I would be happy to talk about any series or movie that you might want to discuss. Also I have found out about a new anime site. Once again I shall list the names of those I have done. Also Lewis and Daniel is always happy to talk about anime with you. Or if you need to know some anime sites just ask! This time you will also be getting a Summer time edition! Why because with summer coming round you might just have more time to spend watching anime and reading manga not just short ones either. We will keep up with these Summertime Editions for a while.

First I would just like to talk about several anime that might make good summer ones for your list that I have already included. Ones like Code Geass, Usagi Drop, Glass Mask (2005), One Piece, Torardora, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Are all good summer ones.

Now How about movies? With all that extra time you might just want to have movie night! So which ones?

Well Summer Wars and The Place Promised In Our Early Days are both good summer movies to watch, but wait that's not all. Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and Kiki's Delivery Service are also good summer watches. Paprika should be too.

Now how about manga? Yotsuba is a good read for summer as well as Dengeki Daisy, Mushishi, and Love so Life.

 

Now I know your all thinking now where do I watch this all? You expect me to buy or rent that much? Well first of all your library might have some of these things. But the internet is a great source for you. Sites like animefreak.tv and watchdub.com along with animeratio.com and crunchyroll.com all good for anime (Some are strictly dub and others sub and some mixed). For Manga you might want to look at mangafox.me or mangahere.com

 

Also if you want to talk about any manga or anime, movie or series, and if I have watched it or maybe even if I haven't (or read) then come talk to me! or recommend ones to me and I might even show it on this article!
